One of the most incredible claims of Christianity is that God will raise people from the dead.  It does not matter if they are dry bones or recently deceased, God will give them life.  I look forward to this day more than most.

Why?

It is the day that God does away with the perishable parts of our lives: the pain, the heartache, the frustration, and replaces it with perfectly sustained joy.  While this sounds great, it is hard to believe.  There are some things that the Bible teaches that are hard to swallow, but this one -- this one is tough.

Still, once you believe it, it is one of the best promises scripture makes.  Paul says "we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling [the resurrected body], so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life."

How did I come to believe this as Truth?

God knows this is difficult, so he gives us a free sample.  God sends His Spirit, which is life and love manifest, to dwell inside of those who have met Jesus.  Once you have tasted the spring of eternal life, it is not so hard to believe that God can do more.  The Holy Spirit acts as a down payment for what is to come when God fully restores us.

I realize that I believe something crazy.  Yet for your sake, I am trying to make this a little less crazy so that you might be able to experience something True and living.
